With the help of floating barriers and dedicated volunteers, all Pink Ducks are collected at the finish line and carefully stored for reuse in future races. By reusing the same Pink Ducks at every event worldwide, we minimize plastic waste, protect our waterways, and reduce our environmental footprint.

We’re still deeply moved by all the love we received after this year’s Pink Duck Race in Antwerp. But nothing could have prepared us for the moment we found out who had won this year.
Over the past two years, we’ve seen just how powerful it can be to adopt a Pink Duck, not only for yourself, but also for someone else. As a gift, a gesture of love, a sign that you’re thinking of them.
And this year again, one name kept coming up. So many ducks, sent with so many messages of courage, hope, and solidarity. And this year… she won.
Tinneke, a courageous woman, received duck after duck, message after message, from friends, colleagues, and loved ones. And when we gave her the news, she said: “I’m floating on a pink cloud right now. Never expected this. It’s been over a year of nothing but bad news, and now this.
It’s a gift in the middle of a dark time. I haven’t stopped smiling.” – Tinneke
